The movie Mullholland Dr. and its supposed meaning is forever debatable. A popular thought is, Camilla Rhodes suffered amnesia and the entire movie and so it is a journey through her recovery.But instead of just going forward with it, David Lynch Shows, at the point of relizing who she is, her life before the accident.With her friend Betty Elms, she starts to retrace the steps that led her to where she is. Another is that Betty Elms doesnt exist, she is actually a different girl who is known as Diane Selwyn. And one of these sides to the story is a dream. No one is for sure except for david lynch, and he does offer clues in the special edition of Mulholland Dr.
