Should the US boycott opening ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in
protest of China's crackdown on the Tibetian people in Tibet as a protest but continue our participation in the games themselves.

The olympics are so political they should to phased back to having them at the same place each year and with much less audience, perhaps no audience. The organizers knew that china had bad human rights record. The tibetian monks knew this would embarass the chinese. It is all political. So much money wasted on getting the arenas built and everything else involved. Put it back in greece. Permanantly.

We should not attend. We should withdraw our participation entirely. The Chinese only got awarded the Olympics on condition they cleaned up their act on human rights. It looks like they are having a laugh at our expense at the moment.
