Help answer this question below.

I NEED TO KNOW IF ANY BODY CAN TELL ME HOW TO REMOVE KEY SWITCH FROM A 1974 CHEVY PICKUP COLUMN I HAVE PUSHED SHOVED PUT SCREWDRIVERS IN SLOTS NO LUCK HELP LOST WITH OUT MY TRUCK

    Some times there is a small pin that holds the key cylinder in but if you are replacing the entire switch then there should be 2 little screw type bolts or 4 some times holding it onto the colum.

    use pliers on it and turn counterclock wise until u fill it loosen and pull it out

    go to your local parts house,most will let you rent tool to compress stering wheel,its almost impossible to take the stering wheel off without it,and if you do get it off without the tool you wont get it back on.that is the hardest part of the job.after you get stering wheel of the rest is easy.
