Is the belly button ring a good quality silver or stainless steel? Spend the money and get a good one.. Cheap rings can cause infections and may never heal. If you have a quality metal ring, then keep the ring in and dab it with alcohol VERY often. If it does not begin to get better within a couple days, then you may be having a reaction to that metal such as gold or silver.

sounds like you have a type of internal infection. (I had this on my eyebrow piercing). If you're thinking about taking it out then don't. If it closes up then the infection is stuck in there. If you keep the piercing open it's like a good vent for it. It could also be scar tissue from the time you had it pierced before, but I can't see how you could pop it.

navel piercings take the longest to heal, including other piercings.....it sounds like you got an infection......you need to keep that area clean......if your problem persists, go see you doctor......take care...Brian....

I would take it out let it heal and get it repierced if you still want it because my infection didnt clear up and eventually i took it out but it was to late and now i have a really nasty scar.
