  • Says who?
  • Says the catechism.
  • Once you become one, (If) you will understand. Ignorance God can handle, disobedience is deadly. There is a difference....
  • You haven't quite understood. Christianity does not say that, if a person is completely ignorant of Christianity, they WILL be saved. What it does say, in the Book of Romans, Chapter one, is that there is no excuse for not knowing something about God's character, no matter how limited your knowledge of the Christian scriptures is. " 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." It is the duty of all humans to respond to the amount of God's revelation that they have available to them. A sincere response (which God alone knows) will result in them being covered by the death of Jesus. However, since neither I, nor anyone else, know which of the people I have talked to has made this response, it is my and my brethren's duty, under the command of Jesus, to preach the Gospel to every living creature. There have been many many examples of this happening, and people saying "Yes, this is what I understood to some extent, but I also knew I needed to hear more".
  • men are without excuse, like singwell said. People are looking for answers. There is a truth people are searching for that can only be found in Jesus Christ, and He ordered us to tell them. And your question is based on a misuderstanding. The whole world is already condemned for rejecting the light. Not for the sin of Adam, not for your sinful nature or that little thing you stole that one time or for the guy burried in your back yard....you are condemned for not excepting the Light/Truth/Jesus Christ. Every one has the chance to exept the Truth, even if it is a Truth that you don't understand, and never really find. You search for the Truth, you thirst for it...Jesus said those who are of the Truth hear His voice.
