Why is it that when I've finished browsing AB for an hour or so I have 15-20 AB windows/tabs up?

Clicking on questions opens up a new window/tab from where you were. When you've answered that question or finished reading it, you should close that window/tab to return to where you were. It sounds as though you are searching from the new window/tab for another question, clicking on that question which opens a third tab, then a fourth tab and so on. To eliminate this, open AB - click on the question - notice that it opens in a new window/tab - when you've finished with the question simply close the tab. This will return you to where you were.
