  • it's all about perception. one man's junk is another man's treasure. people can be mean, offensive, hurtful, spiteful and down right nasty....does that make them ignorant? or does that make them antisocial? or something else i haven't named? there may not be one right answer here, just very many opinions of what is correct. sorry i couldn't be more helpful.
  • I can't give you a percentage but I will say that some people can be very enlightened about one subject and be totally ignorant in their comments about another. What gets me is the spelling and grammar. Take out the time to spell the words correctly and use some descent grammar. I am not college educated but taught myself to use proper spelling and grammar, perfect...NO, but I try. As far as ignorance, it's hard to make people see things their intellect, sophistication and/or lack of emotional maturity make it impossible for them to see.
  • I'd prefer the term "Naive". Some may not know the subject as well as they think they do, or they may have had bad experiences which leads them to suggest something that doesn't take into account others' feelings and meanings. Why do they try? Because some play AB as a game to make points - at least for a while. Then again, there are those who give BRILLIANT arguments for or against a given subject that others (especially those "on the other side") believe to be "ignorant". Again, though, those people aren't even trying to see another's point of view. So who is ignorant in those cases?
