As a virgin 17 year old guy, I would say I think you are pretty cool. :) But seriously, sex is a big step in relationships for most people and there is never anything wrong with waiting. If anyone thinks anything negative about you because you are a virgin then they are not worth being around. Waiting until you are emotionally ready is a commendable thing, and if the opportunity just hasn't come around then don't worry it will soon enough.

I think it is very commendable that you haven't given into peer pressure to be sexually active at your age. In this day and age when a large percentage of girls your age have already had at least 1 baby it's good to know there are still some girls who respect themselves enough to not give into pressure.

Great to hear about a teenage girl who has respect for herself and her parents Oprah should feature the family on her tv show. The teen should be awarded a full college scholarship ad a new car; the whole family should be awarded an all expense paid vacation somewhere.

Absolutely nothing wrong. I'm totaly not-gonna-lie, I have a lot of respect for you. Hell, i'm a virgin myself. See, that question right there just made you stand out from a million girls in a totally awesome way. Don't even worry about it though, tis' all cool. Seriously though, if someone is ragging on you for being a virgin, they're not worth being around.

I think it's awesome... I am one that happens to believe that teens should really leave sex alone until they have a little bit more life experience, meaning... at least finish high school. Once you get into college... its your world.

Well, when I started dating my boyfriend, I was 17, and I'm a virgin, and he knows that. Now we're both 18 and we're still virgins. There are guys who don't get turned off by that kind of stuff. If there wasn't, my boyfriend wouldn't be dating me, right? Anyway, I'm not a guy, but I wanted to say that I think that's great! It probably means you respect yourself enough to not let guys use you, abuse you, and take advantage of you. Sure, those other girls might be getting "experience", but in my opinion, it is not worth the pain, especially if you already know what you want. It's also healthy because when and if you do get into a serious relationship that involves sex, you probably won't have a lot of baggage from past relationships.
