Do you think the USA *Can* bring business with China to a halt? At this point, China has an stranglehold on the already decrepit U.S. economy, launching trade embargoes against China now and having to buy more expensive goods that *Aren't* produced thanks to serious human rights violations might not be something the U.S. could afford to do. And even if the economy could theoretically support it, do you have any idea how many corporate lobbies would be knocking down doors in Washington if the government tried to cut of all the profits they're making by buying Chinese? America's government is at the mercy of corporate interests, and that kind of anti-big business move just wouldn't fly.
