Help answer this question below.

Do you think that Alcohol should be illegal just like marijuana is? is it more dangerous? Why do you hear about all the bad things that happen while drunk rather than high?

Alcohol was illegal for awhile (Prohibition). Didn't seem to work too well.

- It didn't work because the government lost revenue because they couldn't tax alcohol sales...and the crime is probably about the same as we have now with the current list of illegal drugs, alcohol is and has been a "drug of choice" which explains why we hear about all the bad things it can cause... all drugs have a dark side... lol

They tried that before (prohibition) and it was a huge failure. Marijuana may someday become legal, but it will be a huge fight. The reason is that drug dealers are against it. Legal marijuana will drastically cut into their profits. Now, they pay no taxes, are not regulated, and they dont have to prove that their drugs are safe like other legal drugs makers are required to do.

More people drink alcohol then do drugs, that is why you hear about it more. Although many people still get in trouble for driving under the influence of something otehr than alcohol. They law does not care what you are under the influence of when driving (Alcohol, illegal drugs, or legal prescriptions), it is all the same.

We should just make marijuana legal,then it would not take long to gain popularity over alcohol because there is now a choice without a punishment.
