  • Learn how to write a new sort of resume called a "skills oriented" resume. I learned to do this when I wanted to leave to only thing I was educated to do (be a lawyer) and practice in another field. It is different from the traditional/ chronologically-oriented resume. It de-emphasized,in my case, the fact that all of my jobs were as a lawyer. In your case, it will EMPHASIZE what you know how to DO and the skills you have over who you worked for. This is not the best example. I would suggest that you talk to a career counselor about how to do it. http://www.calawjobs.com/articles/resumes/achievement.asp. However, if you'd like to take a look at mine, I will e-mail it to you if you put "Answerbag" somewhere in the title of your e-mail. zazzy_one@yahoo.com
