I was sexually active as a preteen and don't really regret anything I've done. But there's different ppl and reasons why maybe it shouldn't be seen as consent for they might take advantage of the idea of child sex consent.

Capable of informed consent? Some. But I have to say that a huge majority aren't. I always knew exactly what I was doing, but I was really mature for my age and I honestly believe that I was an exception. I've discussed pre-teen sexual experiences with a group of my friends before, and every single one of them said that they didn't know what they were getting into. And that they would've gone to someone if they didn't feel so guilty about it.

Since "informed consent" is an eclusively legal category, the legal answer is, NO.

I believe so....over the age of 9-10 I believe they are. Young girls are starting their ' cycles ' so much earlier than they did when I was growing up. Hopefully parents are monitoring their daughters more now, teaching them about modesty and saving themselves for their husbands until their wedding night.....yikes.....look at what commercials and television programing....movies....games....are teaching our youth.....and if you send them to school for most of the day...they are under pressure from those ideas that other children bring to the table...I have spoken to many women who tell me that their daughters, neices, etc., ..... have started menstration at age 10. The best/worse placed billboard I ever saw said "TEACH YOUR DAUGHTER THAT VIRGIN IS NOT A DIRTY WORD"

I'd say yes but maybe without truly understanding the repercussions of their actions. I was "raped" by a family member at the age of seven. I can tell you I knew a bit of what was happening but one everything was put into play I was powerless and regret some decisions I made that day fourteen years later. What I am saying is that as a preteen you might think you know a lot but you trust too much to make truly informed decisions. Maybe others are different but let's just say it has been a tough fourteen years for me and it was all because of choices I made way too early in life. Sorry to rant, but thanks at the same time!

In law - No. You may have a different opinion; but try convincing a judge.
