I dont know about that. but if you look hard enough, you will see that many religions are based on pagan religions, which would have worshipped stars and planets, i guess. http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=5547481422995115331 this video shows more about the simmilarities between almost all religions and paganism, if you've a mind to know. I'm not sure abot that, but I can tell you in the Bible, Lucifer (satan) was Gods favorite angel, until he wanted more power and him and his followers were thrown into hell.

Lucifer was named Samael in heaven Yaweh called Him Lucifer in the garden of Eden as he was appointed to look after Adam and Eve but that's a another miss interpretated story . His beauty lit the garden of Eden at night and He is the angel of knowledge which is why He was called after the morning star the light bringer.

Lucifer is an old venus god but he is also a cheribum that resided on gods right side, he is usualy pictured with 12 wings despite the serphim (who only had 6) who are the most prized angels, after lucifer was micheal who took lucifers place when he fell. I have really no feelings on lucifer saying the reason why he was cast out of heaven and his title stripped completly is because he tried with all his might and beauty to be higher than god and rule over him and everything else as god. He was jealouse the act that threw him out was during the eleventh hour he and the angels that followed him tried to overthrow god

people lucifer is not the name of the Devil..... lucifer is a personification word for king nebechadnnezer II. lucifer is the star venus and it is the brightest star in the morning then it dissapears before the sun comes up. i did a full research on this topic and my conclusion is that lucifer is a name of a planet ... the devil works for God still to this day but as for the melinial reign i think it is all part of Gods master plan.... just like in willy wanka and the chocolate factory.

Lucifer is actually he who brings the light, the dawn of day, he is the son of dawn. He is also the "morning star", or the planet Venus. Lucifer is also called "The light-bringer" and, by euphemism, Satan (who is the bringer of darkness) was named after him.

well my question will be : if the christians and jews say that lucifer or satan was the favorite angel of god and the story about him wanting to be more than god etc... etc... where exactly in the bible is this story?? could someone post the chapters where this is stated?? cause i cannot find it ...no more stories please i want exact data ... like eg:mt 20, 1-9 something like that many thanks

"Lucifer" means "light bearer". The name has been applied as a nickname, or even honorific, to various different deities and heroes over time. Therefore not all Lucifers are the same entity, just as not all Johns and Samuels and so on are not.

Lucifer was an angel of God, who tried to start a rebellion against God. God threw lucifer and a 3rd of the angels out of heaven because of this. Now lucifer is satan and the other angels are demons (fallin angels).

o.O??? Well, take into consideration that scriptures from the bible are older than Greek mythology. I don't know about the Greek god named Lucifer but it most likely as a term that carried over with translations. Though, I believe that Venus (in a form of Astronomy) is suppose to represent Satan when deciphering the skies in ancient times.
