I just got a "thank-you" card with a gift card in it. Am I supposed to send a thank-you-card for the thank-you-card? Or for the gift card?

After a written thank you and gift, it is appropriate to call and say "You shouldn't have.... been so cheap... cheap ass."

I would send the gift card back empty. Or maybe, I would include a nice note saying what I felt about that gesture. Or, send a dollar and tell them to wipe their ass with it.

I would just give them a verbal thank you for the gift card and leave it at that.

Send them one separate card for both - and when they send you cards for the thank you cards send them a card for that - and when they send you another .... They must be Ned Flanders. ? I'm going out now to buy some stock in Hallmark.

I would just SAY thank you to them for the gift card. They are just showing you their gratitude.

Don't send either! A verbal thank you will do I'd say! If you start sending Thank you cards for thank you cards, things just get too complicated!

Say thank you, or maybe send a quick email thanking them. That is appropriate! :)
