Some feeds used for any animal can contain meat derivatives. Vegan corn will contain protien from differant vegtable sources, and it does give the eggs a slightly differant flavour and colour, I can't really explain how what you feed animals affects the taste afterwards.

Chickens are not fed corn to make them lay eggs. usually corn is for fattening them up or keeping them warm in the wintertime. Chickens are fed a laying mash or pellets that are a combination of things. If you wanted to make sure that it was vegan, you'd have to check with the specific brand and see if there was any kind of animal by-product used, possibly just dairy like dried milk powders or dried whey. So people say there is no different taste in eggs if the hens are fed different diets. I have found that when I raise my own chickens and they are allowed free range to eat grass and plants, bugs and dirt, that the eggs taste better and they are better quality eggs, yolks and white are firmer and more outright and the yolk is darker in color.
