I think it could be a possiblity
-
I would say it is unlikely for with the world economies it is an advantage, to have one's own currency.
-
I think it's an inevitability. We're almost at the point of a unified global economy. A unified global currency is the inevitable next step after that happens.

Hey, I think the days of the Euro are numbered. I think someday, not too soon, Germany will have Marks, Italy will have Lire, Austria will have Schillings, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg will have Francs, the Netherlands will have Guilders, and Ireland will have Pounds again, as well as all the other countries which use Euros will revert back to their former currencies.

hey, it could happen. but it's a stretch at best. If we all had one currency, then we wouldn't have an exchange rate by travelling. who would want to go to brazil and have gas prices the same down there as they are up here? no one. The world needs different currencies.
-
Even so, Britain will find a way to weasel its way out of that one as well.

It's not a remote possibility. Who would have thought that the fiercely nationalistic European nations would actually drop their own currencies for one unified currency? Currently, I think there's already one world currency, and that's the US dollar. It's accepted practically everywhere.
