  • Interesting question. I think personally that reality is in the eye of the beholder. The possibilities are endless, therefore reality lies in what can be. But because there is only one of you, from your perspective there can only be one reality, therefore it is restricted to what is. However. If you subscribe to the parallell worlds theory and believe that we are in a multiverse in which alternate versions of ourselves exist in an infinite number of alternate universes, then the concept that reality lies in what can be is very much active again.
  • I believe that it resides in both. "what is" is the reality of your current state of mind. "what can be" can be just a dream, but can come into fruition in just a matter or hours.
  • reality is relative to the perception of it. so i guess it lies in what can be.
  • both, and all
  • Reality is how you perceive this universe you live in, people who are not stable in their minds can expierence this world COMPLETELY different then us, drugs can alter your state and reality can completely disolve. The only thing that is real is your thoughts, so long as you're thinking, you're alive, and just thinking proves YOU are real. Reality lies in what is known, what can be is very easy to change, therefore what can be isn't nessarly going to BECOME real. In the instance of life, what is, is me. What's to come is death, both are real.
