  • The US is going to have to start to draw down the forces soon, which will dampen the enthusiasm for anti-war activities somewhat. If a Democrat becomes Pres, the drawdown or withdrawal will probably happen faster. . I also think that a lot of people appreciate that if we were to leave Iraq post haste, it would embolden terrorists and leave a sensitive area of the Middle East in turmoil and open to influences inimical to American interests.
  • People were different, life was different, the "powers that be" were different...somewhere along the line things changed..now political considerations are always at the forefront and they are driven by greed...more oil, more bottom-line profit...our esteemed "leaders" acknowledged this plateau of dead soldiers by telling us that they were all "volunteers"..as if that put the onus of their deaths upon themselves. "the decider" and "dickie c" are absolutely unique and I hope we never see "their kind" come our way again! :(
  • There are marches, demonstrations, and protests in Washington, DC and almost every large and medium-sized city in the US every weekend. It is not being covered by the mainstream press. It is being covered on the net. The real question is why the mainstream press isn't covering the story.
