them

Answer: Them can be used as a gender-neutral pronoun, but it is technically grammatically incorrect. In English, we used to be able to say "him" but feminism changed that. So we really don't have one. Basically, "them" isn't correct, but we pretty much have nothing else. You could always say "your co-worker" instead of using a pronoun.

The best choice is them, sorry if you don't like it but it's the correct answer. It is not always a plural.
-
Colloquially, them Grammatically correct, him or her (choose one)OR don't use a personal pronoun at all.
-
Could you phase it to use "it"? Has another conotation also.

They. Or better yet, why don't you write this way: Co-workers are doing something you don't like. What do you say to them?
