There is only really one other option and that is to contact your nearest university or hospital dental school, who should be able to provide more reasonably priced treatment. One other option - which may be impossible if you can't travel - is to simply take a flight to Europe and see someone there, which, even with accomodation for a week or so, would still work out significantly cheaper than seeing a US dentist, other than at one of the schools already mentioned, without insurance. As an example - some dentists charge around $1800 for a procedure that in the UK, whith an NHS dentist, would only cost $70 and you can get a return flight to the UK for less than $400. As an aside, this and getting glasses or contact lenses from an optometrist (apart from vision tests which are usually free), are the only areas of UK medicine which one can be charged for and that is considered by many, myself among them, to be a disgrace. As for the appalling state of US healthcare - no country that bases almost all of it's healthcare on someone's financial status can count itself as being civilized. Good luck to you.
