  • Follow the directions on the underside of the washer's lid, or the instructions on the laundry detergent. They are often very complete, and give you a lot more detail than anyone can go into here.

  • When I first started doing my own laundry, I just threw everything in together in cold water with a bit of detergent. Never had a single problem. Now that I actually own enough clothes to seperate whites/colors, I do that, and do the same thing that I used to do, twice.
  • Separate your clothes into colors and whites. Wash colors in cold water and whites in hot water. Set the load size (small, med or large), the wash cycle (light, med and heavy soil) and turn on the water. Add your detergent (look at the label to see how much). Then add your clothes...don't fill the washer past 2/3 of they way full. Viola! You've washed your clothes.
