I just purchased a Toshiba DR400 dvd recorder. I have a Comcast DVR. Does anyone know how to hook it up to record programs saved on the DVR? I've tried using just the S-video hookup but so far the DVDs come out blank.

Comcast DVRs are locked so that you can't output a signal to a recorder. They have done this to limit the ability of people to pirate their signal. If you could record all the good shows on DVD and give that DVD to your neighbor then there's no incentive for them to get their own Comcast DVR. However if you have an older model there are some hacks out there on the "interweb" that have been known to work. Just type your make and model (ie. Motorola DVR 1646) and the word "hack" into your favorite search engine. Good luck. Hope this helps.
