Question

Help answer this question below.

I am looking to take on a 3 year old male rabbit. I have 2 rabbits already who are 2 years old, the male is very protective over the female and last time he attacked me when he smelt another rabbit on me. Will they get along?

If they are all spayed and neutered and you go through the steps of bonding, there shouldn't be too much trouble as long as they get to choose who they spend time with. But a pair of rabbits, any sex, but altered will be the happiest together.

I mean this is the nicest way possible, but you sure do handle a lot of rabbits. okay, but seriously, I have to agree. all domesticated animals are picky when it comes to space sharing. i'm about to introduce two cats myself. maybe i'll let ab'ers help me out when the time comes. In your case, I'd suggest a trial run if possible. It's the only real way to know.

I dont think there is ever a way to tell for sure and it may not go well the first time the bunnies are introduced. I would contact your local bunny rescue and see if they offer bonding services.
