  • It sounds like you are trying to form an argument in the form of a question, rather than ask a question. Your argument seems to be, "The US is a supposed to be a melting pot, so we shouldn't be going around trying to change the rest of the world." But I will answer your question anyway. Some believe we should change the world to eliminate all threats, but the word "threat" has a very broad definition. For instance, China a is threat to our economy because many companies have started building factories there for their cheap labor.(thousands of factories) Thus causing the loss of tens of thousands of US jobs. China is also a threat to our health because of their low production standards and use of hazardous materials, that have been outlawed in US production. But here's what I think you're looking for. Those in power can use the word "threat" in news broadcasts (propaganda) in order to make us afraid, and then angry. Thus giving them the power to attack other countries for their own personal gain.
  • There will always be a radical sect in any country that will try to expand an empire, and influence others. This sect normally believes they are doing the world good by influencing outers, they are misguided. Limiting this to the US is of course insane, look at the roman empire, the soviet union, every empire that has ever existed wanted to expand and influence others.
  • I heard the similar from my friend who said we went to afghanistan to give them a good life and we went to Iraq to give them a good life, but do nto understand why they are refusing it? Underlying thing is we strongly believe what we have is the best. IS that true?
