No, because teens would always find a way to get a hold of it...much like alcohol. But, it would make life easier all the way around.
-
It would be about as easy to get as alcohol or cigarettes. So... whatever, that's fine with me.
-
They get their hands on cigarettes and alcohol with no problem and pot wouldn't be any different
-
Yes. There are a number of responsible pot-smokers. It would be everywhere, but, then again, so would millions of pot-smokers who just gained a right after seventy years of oppression.
-
no!...but poor bastards wouldn't be locked up and have a criminal record for life for having an ounce
-
No. My 2 cents.

I see it as a win/win situation all the way around. I have never enjoyed the stuff too much, but millions of others do. If we legalize it and tax it, property rates wouldn't increase like they have, teachers wouldn't have to use their own money for classroom supplies, we would cut what we spend on the war on drugs down significantly, and no one would get an arrest record for something so silly as having a roach in their car ashtray. Police could be free to move on to the real criminals, and we would have more money to fight the things that really cause harm, like high crime areas and hiring more lab techs to analyze DNA in rape and murder cases. We'd get more criminals off the street in record time.

Do you know how many teens actually smoke pot now??? If anything it would become more available.
-
No. Alcohol was readily available to my friends and I when we were teens. All we had to do was go down to the local 7-11 after midnight and offer to stock the coolers for the clerk, for a free slurpee or hotdog. When we'd bring the "empty" boxes out to the dumpster, we'd always have a rack or two hidden inside the boxes.
