  • Tea has less caffeine and will be better for you! There is a table of caffeine content at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine it shows tea, coffee, chocolate, soft drinks.
  • Each has its own benefits, but ultimately tea is "better" for you: It provides you with caffiene, but not too much, it has antioxidants, can help you concentrate because of the chemichals in it... etc. My favorite non-herbal teas are blacks, greens, rooibos and mate. The only real downside to coffee is the acidity and the caffiene, which can cause jitters, crashes, and sleeplessness. Other than that, coffee is my personal choice because it's yummy, is an antidepressant, helps me to relax and unwind, etc. Some studies have shown that (black) coffee drinkers are also less likely to develop diabetes, and coffee has tons of soluble fiber (which is also what gives some people "coffee gut").
  • I've read studies pro and con on each..I'm not a tea drinker (unless I'm really ill and then tea with lemon and honey tastes delicious) so I tend to go with the coffee-benefit studies! :)
