He talks a good game, but the one thing he needed to say was conspicuously absent. He talked about how everyone was so frustrated by race relations, but he never once addressed the fact that while blacks are allowed to use racist terms and speak out about race issues, whites aren't. There can't be improvements in racial relations until this double-standard is eliminated.

I didn't care for the little speech, and I care less for him! He pulls out all the stops, now even his gramma. He is so unskilled at the way things are done. He should have never, brought a member of his family into this! So if in the White House and he makes a little boo-boo, due to his un-skilled and stuburn manner....... "I can do it myself".......attitude we could be in alot of trouble. In addition to this....I am sick to death of the black/white issues!!!!!!!!! WHO cares, I don't care if he/she is green with purple poke a dots, male/female, we have to have an educated, strong, forceful, I LOVE AMERICA person to lead our country back to God Bless AMERICA!!!!!!!! Home of the BRAVE.........not the land of the "I don't know what to do") So I do nothing!

I think he's digging a bigger hole for himself. I don't agree with the fact that he is still attending the church where the message was " Goddamn America" . It doesn't matter if the pastor stepped down. He needs to get out of that church in my opinion. He should have attacked the "race" issue in the beginning instead of pretending like it didn't exist. Get it out of the way like Tom Hanks did in the movie philadelphia about being gay . That way people wouldn't make a big deal about it. Now he's just making it awkward tip toeing around it. Yes we as a country have race issues BUT obviously we've come a long way and we need to concentrate on that. First he said he didn't hear " such remarks" now in this new speech he says he did. He needs to keep it real. Ofcourse he heard ignorant statements made in 20 years. I lost respect for him because he seems wishy washy. I don't trust him and it's a shame because I don't like Mccain either. (big sigh !!!) who the hell knows ? (just my 2 cents)

Didn't particularly like him before, still don't like him now.

I think he has had this speech prepared for a while, and knew exactly what was going on at this church. He is a smooth talker, but eventually, the talk won't be enough. He will be clobbered vs. John McCain. Hillary has screwed up royally too, with Bosnia-gate. It will be fun to watch McCain just replay the democratic attack ads during the general election.

Not a great deal. It lacked content and substance rather like the man himself in my opinion.
