I think the only way for true globalization to occur is for people to learn to accept other cultures and ideas, instead of trying to change them to their own beliefs and ideals. Think of how many cultures and livelihoods would be gone if this were to happen. Bad idea!

Here are some things which are accepted in Vietnam as being normal public behavior: -picking your teeth with a toothpick after eating at the table. -picking your nose. -blowing your nose out one nostril without a Kleenex or hankerchief. -throwing paper trash from the table onto the floor at a restaurant. -manually shoving people who are in your way (no one says, "Excuse me," unless it's in English!) -smacking and slurping food. People might say they like the idea of "global behavior," but...

If given a stark choice of Western or Eastern, I think everyone will quickly realize how crappy the Eastern world would be, especially if run by the crazed ranting two-faced mullahs of Iran & elsewhere etc., who want to return the world to pre-stoneage times. However, they seem quite happy to engage with and run organizations that utilize modern Western toys, such as automatic weapons, bombs, satellites, mobile phones, cars, television and western clothing under their pathetic swaddling & gowns, etc., etc. However, away from such a shivering and nightmare scenario, there is much in some non-western cultures that is attractive and which I would not like to see go.

Bad idea~My opinion is that we can learn from the many cultures and traditions of different countries. To make the world Westernized would be to lose these valuable differences.
