  • Check the BIOS menu for a reset option. If you can get to the CMOS battery, sometimes pulling it for a few seconds will reset most if not all defaults. Desktops often have a two position DIP jumper that can be used for the same purpose. Otherwise check the manufacturer's site for a reset utility (look under support downloads).
  • I'm guessing it's a laptop. When it's first starting to boot you may see for a few seconds "Press F2 for Setup" or some other key. "Setup", is the BIOS menu. If you don't have the manual for it anymore you might try checking the manufacturer's website and see if they have a PDF version that you can download.
