  • I have only started three of these... two of them very good answerbag friends and one of them my Lady (Just_Keysha). Franky, I am nervous about congratulating people... I do NOT want the points. I even said so when I started the thread for Yarnlady. I really wish there was less points available to be given in the "Congratulating Answerbagger" category or even no points. I would not congratulate someone unless they are good friends of mine on the 'bag.
  • Just watch some one who's getting close to their next level. Those things do get a lot of points.
  • Well, you could congratulate yourself on having re-observed that which has been observed many times! :) Second only to aggressive moderating, congratulating other users is the fastest way to accumulate points. But there's a backlash if you go around congratulating people who aren't actually your friends... folks who know that will see what you're really up to. So you have to choose between points and not being taken for a points whore. An easy choice for most people.
  • I think I have done One maybe two in 15 months. . I never watch profiles to see how close people are to leveling up. In fact I never know how close I am most of the time. Kevin used to tell me. Now other people do. I would prefer we had a Congratulations board where no points were given and then it would really be friends and people that were genuinely pleased that posted and people would not think that there were doubtful motives. Lyn did suggest it on the Blog and it was well received but I do not suppose anything will come of it.
  • Yes, I believe that is true, the starters do get nice results with the question.
  • Those who "start these things" do it out of friendship..which friend is the beneficiary of this question?
  • I HATE those "questions" and will give you points to NOT start one.
