Would you consider it 'child abuse' if you don't have a college fund set up for your two year old, and never plan to?

if it is I will be doing a life sentence my oldest is 13 and my youngest is 4 and none of them have anything like that i tell them they need to work hard on there grades get a scholorship and i will figure out the rest.

G'day Simply99, Thank you for your question. No. It's your choice. Mind you, I would if I could but that would be my choice. However, it would aim to help them out later in life whether it be for education, set up a business or buy a home. Regards

No. I don't consider it child abuse nor do I consider it child neglect. If your child wants to go to college there are means for them to do so even if you haven't saved for their college. And college is not required, nor is it the right choice for every child. Child abuse is when you mistreat (physically and/or mentally) your child, and child neglect is when you fail to provide the life sustaining essentials (food, clothing, appropriate shelter, appropriate medical care...)

No, because i think it is your choice what you should do with your money and like i know i dont have a college fund or what not but just make sure they will do good in school and get a scholar ship and everything and they will be fine...so no its not..i bet 85% of Americans are in your position
