  • This is a poem about a grasshopper. Here's the text (but unfortunately AB will lose the formatting). r-p-o-p-h-e-s-s-a-g-r who a)s w(e loo)k upnowgath PPEGORHRASS eringint(o- aThe):l eA !p: S a (r rIvInG .gRrEaPsPhOs) to rea(be)rran(com)gi(e)ngly ,grasshopper; If we take the formatting out (and some of the repeated grasshopper anagrams) and see what it says: "grasshopper who as we look up now gathering into the leaps arriving to become rearrangingly grasshopper;" It's an attempt to show the movement of a grasshopper in a visual, verbal way. The word "grasshopper" is mixed up to begin with and with "leaps" it rearrangingly becomes the proper arrangement of letters towards the end. If it's about anything, I suppose it's about the natural world whirling around and being made sense of by being named. **** What do I think of it? As crossword poetry goes, it's quite entertaining. :)
