Why can't our "outstanding" government see that the price of gasoline and diesel fuel is the cause for our near 3rd world economic condition? And why haven't any of the new president hopefuls even mention a plan to change?

Both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama have plans to address the inflationary increases that are damaging families in America. John 'Bush Light' 'McSame' McCain promises more failed Bush policies, unlike his Democratic party contenders. You are right that the policies of the last five years have pushed America families lower than ever -- Who can think about saving or planning for the future when surviving the local supermarket is a daily ordeal? You are partially wrong about the candidates -- the only Republican with any hope for families was Huckabee, and his extreme religious views made him unelectable -- so we're left with McCain, who lives in an elite tower and could care less what happens to average Americans. Contrast this with Barrack or Hillary who constantly demand that America get it priorities back in order -- and according to Clinton and Obama, the first priority needs to be caring for American families, households and children!

Because it isn't. And the term Third World has been outdated since the fall of the Soviet Union. The First World included the "free countries". The Second World included the Soviet bloc and other Marxist countries. The Third World included developing countries. The United States experienced a similar economic condition 1976-1981. We got through that.

truck , OPEC operates our countries PETROLEUM and PRICES....yeah, the 3rd world peoples RULERS are the richest PETROLEUM countries on earth....do they share that wealth with their own ....thats apparent they do not....but u expect them to give Americans and the rest of the world economic breaks????the new change american president cannot do one ---- thing to make the GREEDY ARAB OPEC share their oil wealth.....and our country is just as dependant on the middle east petroleum as all others are....oil and gas are controlled by OPEC , not our pres. or government.....when we finally are allowed to develope and produce our own....we can see relief...but then, the government will own that too...so , how much relief is a big question, cause they are awful GREEDY themselves....Power and Greed...the 'world's ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION...
