Dont let your dog chew on them. Cut the meat off with a knife and feet it to them. Most bones (Yes, I've checked, pork bones too) splinter, and can cause dogs alot of internal problems. My first dog died about 7 or 8 years ago when I was six from eating a sharp stick, it punctured some internal organs.

If they are raw, they are great for him to chew. Dogs do fabulous on raw meaty bones. But never ever feed dogs any type of cooked bone. Juts about any raw bone is fine, though. We used to feed our dogs raw chicken backs and carcasses and turkey necks with some pork neck bones thrown in. They need to be higher percentage of bone to meat.
