Yes that is normal for all brass but as a tip make sure your instrument is warm because spit becomes more collected on the mouthpeice when it is. Also you dont need to wipe the mouthpeice while your playing I dont think on the baritone (I play trumpet)if its clean.

Are you spacing your teeth correctly? if you are clenching your teeth this could be causing some of your problem. Perhaps your mouthpiece is just tasty;)

your teeth have nothing to do with it i play baritone too it might be the shape of your mouthpiece is not fit for you or if you dont empty all your slides it will cause a water backup or if you are tilting the insterment up while you play the spit comes back to your mouth from the slides
