probably not-if you are a having a dispute with another bank they have probably listed you on telecheck. its like a giant sh*t list of banking customers. you need to find a bank that doesnt check credit...good luck

You can be sure the new bank will check your credit report, probably while her are sitting there.

If I were you I would get the first bank's account taken care of before I think of opening up another account...
