At the risk of sounding flip: because they can. In most businesses, people will try to make as much profit as they can from their work. When setting a price for any product, the ideal is to set a price point that maximizes the profit. Set the price too low, a lot of people will buy, but you won't make much profit. Set the price too high, a few people will buy, but you still won't make much profit from so few sales.

Lust is a desire that is never satisfied. So when you were in 4th grade and got an erection from seeing a bra strap or a little bit of cleavage that was enough for you. Then as you got older, there were the R rated movies where the actors got naked and after a while the thrill of that wore off. After watching regular hard core porn movies in high school and/or college, you come to the conclusion that "naked" isnt good enough, then comes the demand for sex acts that are more bizarre or perhaps women that are prettier or more innocent looking. Those who make porn movies know that satisfaction of seeing a pair of breasts lasts only a short time. Therefore they constantly think of ways to make movies that contain elements that werent in the previous movie. And knowing that we keep comming back for more, no price will ever be too high to pay.
