This is a very good question. I was actually thinking about this myself. Just because they are your family DOES NOT mean you want them raising your children!

My parents It's already in the will

My son would go to his dad's house to live with him and hopefully he and his parents will take my daughter to raise. It hurts to think about my 2 children, as tight as they are, growing up apart.
-
That's an easy one! If my hubby and I both died, his younger son would stay with his mother, my daughter and younger son would stay with their dad. Our other three are adults and on their own already.
-
I need to make better friends because there is no one in my family fit....
-
My sister. And if something should happen to her, I dont know. I would make a provision that my mother is to never ever get custody of my children and my father is too sick.
-
well i do not have children as of yet but im finding this hard to answer i will say my mum as she will probably very willing but she is not a good mother, so i would want my auntie to do it, but she has no room and is a bit ill.

Decide together who you want to take care of your children should the two of you pass away. Then contact an attorney to draw up a will and in the will NOMINATE a guardian or guardians for your children if the two of you die. Nominate means to name a guardian, only the court is able to appoint a guardian as they have the duty to assure that the children are going to qualified persons. Barring that the people you NOMINATED as guardians in your will are incapable, unqualified or unwilling to be guardians, the court will abide by your wishes.
