  • Honestly, I don't know, but I know a few things that should be... A real obnoxious drunk, could be considered a visual pollution, if he wont get out of your face. Someone who insists, on exposing you to acts of "grossness" (vomiting in front of you, farmer blows, etc). People who chew with their mouth open & full of food. That is just disgusting.
  • New dress code for Americans?
  • Marge Simpson's sisters..lol Billboards on the freeway would be one. Not allowed in Hawaii.

  • Paisley.
  • Well I don't know a definition, but it is opinion based. For example wind farms, I consider them elegant structures, but others disagree and consider them visual pollution as they are unnatural in a natural place... So maybe wind farms, but it is generally down to opinion, although some are pretty much universal... Erm, I guess like a nuclear power station would probably considered by pretty much everyone as visual pollution.
  • Definately the menu at Chili's. I couldn't even pick out what I wanted last night. The pictures are slanted left or right, there are way too many different colors and small print mixed with HUGE print. That's my definition of visual pollution.
  • Just look at most of the presenters on American TV and you'll have your example.
  • http://www.stacey.peak-media.co.uk/Street/800-08250002.jpg a street with no visual pollution http://www.dunnfoundation.org/images/tops/pics_f11.jpg a street with lots of visual pollution I think it's a combination of lazy design, and unregulated competition for eyes that you have to tune out - kind of like banner ads on webpages. You don't read them, but you appreciate a site that doesn't have them.
