For a respectful treatment of who actually wrote down each book of the bible, and who might have combined the work of others, I'd recommend "Who Wrote The Bible?" by Richard Elliott Friedman. He is respectful to both people who believe the authors & editors were divinely guided, and to people who don't.

Many people contributed to writing the Bible. I think Moses wrote the first 5 books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

This is one good question .. I think moses wrote quite a few books and other books which are named by names were written by those people . Hope this helps ! :)
