  • Yeah i do. Having worked in hospitality and being part owner in a cafe, you see alot of it. I find often people in lowly paid job tend to get sticky hands from time to time. We had managers come in drunk one night when the cafe was closed and help themselves to a whole pile of stuff. Its sad, but often true... ALOT of people do it.
  • Yes... But the accountant always has the money... Most of developing Southeast Asia doesn't use checks (those are nonexistant here) or credit cards... Cash is the only means of payment... Since the highest denomination of currency is only 500,000 dong (a little less than $32), anyone running off with the loot is painfully obvious.
  • (1)Yes. (2)Yes. (3)Yes.
  • I am not currently, as this doesn't really apply to the job I have. I do have access to people's homes when they are not there, however. I not only do not steal, but I do not invade the privacy of those people. I do my work, and go on my way. I was a store manager on more than one occasion and was responsible for counting the drawers, making deposits and writing checks. I did not steal. I have known one person who did steal from his job. He also got away with it, but was fired eventually. He never had to pay it back, because they could not prove it was him. I think there are people who justify stealing from an employer, especially if they are underpaid or not treated well by the employer. That being said, I believe stealing goes against my morals and I could never justify it.
  • Yes, very much so! I handle all the checks and credit cards, and have passwords to the computer programs. In my case, thankfully I have great bosses and our families have known each other for quite some time, so they knew my work ethic and that I could be trusted with these things. I am amazed though at how freely the person that trained me just took what she wanted or rounded up what she thought she was owed! Of course, I took over her job!!!
