I think in order to LOVE someone you MUST RESPECT them. You can respect without love, but not vice versa. So, I would choose love. (And I am a female).

I don't think think there would be any love from my s/o (male) without respect first. I think they go hand in hand. I wouldn't even want one without the other, honestly.

i would have to say respect b/c without it you couldn't possibly love someone. I would rather have respect over love any day and I am a woman.
