Envy them? Not a chance. They do a lot of dangerous, hard work, for little or no individual recognition. There is nothing to envy.

the war on terror doesn't exist, just a means of keepin the public behind the government without questioning. imo.

I do not envy them - I respect them, but I do not envy them. Though, one must not forget, America isn't the only country with troops on deployment - Australian troops are in there too, but you rarely hear about them.

This is a joke right? And by "our souls" are you referring to massacred Iraqi and Afghan women and children in places such as Fallujah or Haditha? Perhaps you're referring to the marine's cooperation with death squads in Baghdad, and elsewhere, which btw is about to become very very public? No? Then maybe you mean the laughter of marines shooting wounded Iraqis who are no threat to them? Or could it be a reference to the use of illegal weapons such as white phosphorus which strips the skin from bones and melts organs? Remember, not everyone is American, and not everyone thinks that conducting illegal war or committing atrocities is "heroic." If you are simply ignorant of these things, as so many are, that's one thing, if you're not, shame on you.

I do not envy them, but I do hold them in the highest levels of respect and honor that I can. They should always be in our prayers, and we should do all we can for their families here at home while they are away.
