Depending on whether his smurf liking is more like my Hello Kitty liking (Hello kitty datebook, cell phone cover) or more like my friend's parents' star wars liking (Entire room of house dedicated to collectibles).

If he started yammering about Smurfs on the first date, I'd take pause no doubt. But I like Smurfs and after we get to know each other better we'd watch them together .
