It bounces for me- I really wish McGann had had a better chance. I've loved him in the Big Finish audios I've heard him in- really wish he could have done more on the screen!

Gotta go with John Pertwee, although Peter Davison is a close second. I also really liked Liz Shaw and Jo Grant as companions (and Captain Yates and Sergeant Benton!).

Tom Baker had the best hold on the strange combo of campy and funny yet wryly preachy that was Doctor Who. probably the all-time favorite. But David Tennant does get me excited, somehow... HARD QUESTION--much easier to answer is my favorite companion! Sarah Jane Smith rocks. How exciting to get her own TV show--THIRTY YEARS AFTER THE FACT!
