Not THEIR do not call list, the national one: https://www.donotcall.gov/

Yes, I have heard that you can do that. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free.

I am a lawyer, and although I have never heard this or looked it up, it does sound like a proper loophole that these corporate bastards would think up! And it would work too.
-
i dont think so. legally, from whay i understand, if you request to not be contacted bt that company again they have to take you off their list. this is federal.
-
You can tell them to, but they never do.

In case you haven't already registered with the National Do Not Call Registry: you have to enter your phone number rather than your name. Furthermore, "Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free." If you get a call from a telemarketer after you've been registered for 31 days then ensure that you know the name of the company calling you and make a note of the time (to the nearest hour) and date because the registry asks for that info. I've had my home phone number registered with them for almost 5 years (since August, 2003).

It's true and if the telemarketers continue then file a complaint with the phone company and D.A.

Yes, I have heard of that and I have a friend who did that and succeeded.
