I don't think he is because he looks strong but "soft." The WWF guys have a plastic like appearance to them which is absent in clean muscle men (like Karl Malone).
Another thing to keep in mind is that he is height-weight proportionate. Now that doesn't mean he's normal looking, but his hugeness is more that of a titan than a user.
And, while this doesn't go one way or the other immediately, lingering injuries are often a tell-tale sign.
Plus he smiles a lot for a steroid guy. Seems too emotionally stable to be guilty!
Ignorance is bliss. It has been documented U.S. athletes first started using steroids nearly 60 years ago in the 1950 Olympics. Today MLB is most prominently known sport for it's use of steroids, literally hundreds of players have been accused and indited. But somehow is it hard for people to realize that NBA players use them also, especially Cleveland's #23; an athlete larger than anyone his size to ever play the game! He had a tumor removed from his jaw at the age of 24. Now lets see, what would have caused that?

I highly doubt LeBron or Dwight use any steriods. However they do use natural supplements that their trainers provide them with to recover faster and probably recover more efficiently. These supplements arent steroids, infact people can get them for quiete abit of money but body body builders tend to choose the cheaper and easier way which is Steriods. "trainers" im talkin about is scientist that know every bit of detail about training an athlete and all that jargon.. Given that these athletes such as LeBron and Dwight have very good frames and body structure, they look so big. (they are over 6'7 & 6'11) People tend to forget that these "superstars" work their asses off all year long, thats y they r very numbered in the NBA.
Freak of nature athletes + state of art facilities + world class trainers + hard work, i dont c why athletes like them cant achieve the physic that they are in.. If more people in the NBA put in work like those guyz.. i would imagine them being like that too...
I am a bad speller.
Aside from the fact that he is a freak of nature I believe that lebrons on HGH. Aside from the fact that he gained 20 pounds of pure muscle in 6 years despite an extreemly physcially demanding schedule with the post, pre, seson and olympic games for me the real signs are his face. He has asymetric jaw development which he is hiding with his beard. He has a huge forhead that he hides with his head band and he has very large cheekbones and a prodruding brow ridge. And he didnt have any of these when he came into the legue. Peoples facial bone structure does not change as much as his did after 18 without roids.
The NBA is corrupt!
It’s a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY and Money = Corruption.
Commissioner Stern makes $10-$15 Million dollars a year COVERING IT UP.
When NBA official Tim Donaghy was sent to prison for 15 months for throwing the outcomes of the 02’ and 05’ postseasons…Stearns issued a statement the very next day saying all officials were invested and he was the only corrupt official. No professional official would throw a basketball game by himself!
Every night Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are special guests on the court. Officials give them every call while calling nothing against them. For example: The other night Lebron James drove to the whole and Al Horford Jumped straight up and blocked it clean. How many officials would call a foul with 1 second left on the clock in regulation on a guy driving to the whole?
When interviewed after the game, Al Horford said, “He drove, I jumped, they called the foul”. In other words it’s a ridiculous call and I can’t say anything about it or I’ll get fined.
Why does no one mention steroids in Basketball? 82 games is a long season! Basketball requires a tremendous amount of recovering. Steroids are the easiest solution; they are turned to in every professional sport. Why not basketball players? Stern is doing his job.
Lebron James came into the league out of high school bigger than any other small forward in the NBA. Since then he has put on about 30lbs of pure muscle. All while playing 82 games a season, preseason games, and playing for the Men’s Olympic basketball team, and promoting himself as one the world’s biggest sport icons. Have you ever seen Lebron James get tired?
The greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, always got tired and hunched over to put his hands on his knees late in games. Lebron James has not once in his career been exhausted. Is his cardio that much better than Michael Jordan’s? He shrugs powerful small forwards like Paul Pierce with the greatest of ease. He is virtually indestructible and gains muscle mass at the rate of a professional body builder. You be the judge!
I'll give you someone that's bigger and weighs more that jumps higher...Dwight Howard. One look at him would make you feel like a failure lol
I dont think he is on roids now, but i think he pulled an A-rod. I think he used them when he was the mega-star high school athlete and quit using them once he solidified his future. there is no way a 16 year old kid is 6'7 230 or whatever he was then i dunno, without some help. somethings up because his parents arent very big. I dunno i personally think he used in the past but wised up and quit using but i guess there is no way to tell. hes a great player regardless in my mind.
think about this. not only only in basketball but every professional sport out there. you will get your people doing roids here and there but who cares. i dont blame them. but look. these guys get paid millions and millions of dollars. more money in one year then most of us will make in 25. they practice what 3,4, maybe 5 hrs a day tops. they have at least 3 or 4 months off a year. the best trainers. the best drs. the best nutritionists in the world. and all the time in the world to exersise, work out, train. obviously im not the most atheleticly talanted person around (or i would be playin games professionally instead of just for fun). but give me the time, money, and oppertunites these guys have and id be a beast too. so would you and so would anyone else
First off,it's ridiculous what impact steroids has had on the sports world. Look at yourself man, you can't give anyone credit for being talented, someone rises above everyone else it's instantly attributed to steroids. You gunna accuse Kobe next?
Second, its not like LeBron suddenly "learned" how to jump high, he's always been able to do it. The man's an athlete give him some credit.
Finally, he doesn't have the look of a user, if we're gunna get technical about this. He is a tall and lean, not stocky or really huge. I also second what NCJake said about the plastic-y look of real users. LeBron isn't jacked up hes strong and lean and athletic.
Basically what I'm saying is give the guy some credit for being strong and athletic, it's pathetic that you automatically attribute greatness to chemically enhanced performance.
strongly doubt it and his jump is amazing what a player
I highly doubt it.
He is a freak of nature with amazing athletic ability. I also believe he is too smart to risk destroying his image by taking steroids.
Having said that, I think every player in every major sport should be tested for steroids.
Eh, even if he's juicing, there's such a thing as jump training.
I understand why someone would rationalize LeBron being a steroid user, but the NBA has banned substance policies as all professional sports in the US since the BALCO scandal. Players are regularly tested; so, the likelihood of him being a consistent user is very unlikely. As an amatuer basketball and football player, I personally gained 35 pounds of muscle between 21 and 24 power lifting just three to four days a week. My metabolism changed. Lebron's metabolism has likely changed; so, he is gaining a lot more bulk as he gets stronger. I lost no speed or agility initially when I started power lifting. Everything got exaggeratedly better at that time. He is just filling out. He will likely lose some weight in the upcoming years to try to maintain his agility. Look at Kobe - Kobe went from 200 to almost 230 between his third and seventh or eigth years in the league. He recently lost weight to get some of his explosiveness back.
lebron is not on roids..he id just a freak of nature and a beast. you need to accept that he is one the best if not the best player the NBA has ever seen.
he did get huge... the other day ESPn had this highlight of Lebron comparing him to Jordan and they showed clips from when he came into the league, the first few years and compared to now its like a change form a freshman in highschool to like senior.. he is humangous now, believe me i had played football and basketball and work out , and i mean the guy is huge..
he could play and be a pro bowl d-end in the NFL, pro bowl free and strong safety, outside linebacker, receiver, and im sure if he could throw the ball 40 yards he'd be better than vince young too
its just outrageous the kind of athlete he is and i can say he gained about 40 pounds of muscle from his rookie year.
Of course they are on roids. There are different types of roids out there. Some make you huge like a bodybuilder while others increase your strength by 3 or 5 fold and decrease your recovery time. These are the types of steroids Ben Johnson used as a sprinter. He wasnt huge he didnt look like he was on what everyone thinks a steroid user would look like. But what it did was increase his muscles out put of strength and endurance. Look at LeBrons acne, thats a well known side affect of steroids. Think about some of these atheletes, they are coming from the Ghetto and sports is a way out if they can make a name for themselves they are guaranteed a nice paycheck or atleast a way out of the ghetto. Why wouldnt they use them there is no down side to it. The hanger ons are gonna approach them young in hopes of getting a piece of the pie later on.
One of the primary side effects of steroid use is the rapid onset of male pattern baldness.
Lebron James is rapidly going bald, at a very young age. He uses a headband to hide it.
No doubt in my mind he juices. Drug testing in the NBA is a joke. Players are busted for pot possession but are rarely caught in drug tests. Besides, there is no test for HGH.
I imagine Lebron started to juice heavily in High School; which means his body will start breaking down in his late 20's.
I think steroid use is the 'great secret' of the NBA. What is the major change between players in the 1970's and today? Evolution doesn't happen that fast.
the number of bald athletes has exploded. Players aren't doing some new training methods to make them jump higher and farther. The NBA is huge money and guys will juice if it means getting a piece of the pie.
ps- Another guy who juiced, and lost his hair, was Michael Jordan.
Absolutely. Many ignorant people think steroids only bulk you up - but this is NOT true at all. Many runners and jumpers have used steroids to drastically increase speed and jumping ability. Lebron is exactly what a smart steroid user would look like. He probably has good assistance from a smart practioner.
We have never seen an athlete like LeBron - the combination of size, speed, coordination, strength, etc. is unprecedented. When you add intangibles like being a good teammate, unselfish play, charisma, staying out of trouble, etc., you have nothing less than the face of the NBA. The fact that he was so hyped as a high school player and then was drafted by his hometown Cleveland Cavs is unbelievable even from Hollywood scriptwriter's points of view.
Yes, I am a LeBron fan. And yes in 2010 he looks even bigger than I would ever have imagined him. Being from Cleveland, I have seen LeBron play more than most. I noticed in recent years that his body seemed to fluctuate between muscled and diesel muscled. In 2010 he looks bigger than ever - if he was a true 250 as claimed his rookie year - he is 285 now. Most likely this is the result of coming into his manhood and the result of an insane work ethic in the weight room. Unfortunately, because we live in the steroid era in sports, its easy to be skeptical and wonder if another one of our heroes will make the headlines for cheating. Until I hear credible evidence otherwise, I will give LeBron the benefit of doubt.

No doubt he's roidin. And it wouldn't matter if he was caught or not, he's too big a star to ever be benched due to roids/hormones. Best example was Carl Lewis. He was caught running dirty prior to the '88 Olympics and he was still allowed to run. And the reason is simple, he was worth way too much to be pulled, no matter what the tests reported.
Look when you play bball, you're breaking down muscle, you're using up what you built over the postseason. He's actually gotten bigger within a years time. Sorry but there is no way that anyone is going to put om that kind of muscle in a few months. Not without some assistance. You guys are living in a dream if you think he aint doin it.

first off lebron is 6' 7 3/4' 248 and no way is he on roids.i dnt think roids would
be effective in basketball.theres to much constant moving and basketball is a touch sport, shootn touch, passn touch, roids would really F dat up.So ,yea its jus you who thinks dat LB uses roids...UR a HATER
Lebron James is a steroid user. Take a look at him and the other players around him? His build, his attitude and his stamina. I played basketball and football both in college and in high school. We all know that he played football in high school and I know for a fact that most high school star athelets take steroids. It gives them an edge over other opponents. If you look at most of lebrons games he is strongest person on the court, his stamina is utterly incredible and he can jump higher than anyone on the court. HE PLAYS BASKETBALL 5 TO 7 DAYS A WEEK. AVERAGE BASKETBALL PLAYER WEIGHTS ABOUT 180 TO 230. LEBRON WEIGHTS 260 AT 6'8'. HE IS ON STERIODS THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. You know he is a talented basketball player. Steriods can't help him shoot better or dribble better but it can help him jump higher, run faster and stay on the court longer (more Stamina). I almost forgot and be the stronget person on the court.
i guess thats why hes a professional athlete. he preforms exceptionally for his size.
i donno if hes on steroids or not, but some people are exceptional, we arent all built the same.
Lebron is 6'-8" (short-shit) and 250 pounds (light-weight) (see http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lebron_james/index.html )
Do you think SHAQ is on steroids? He's bigger and appears stronger in the commercials I've seen of him.
Whether he is or not will surely be determined by authorities.
And if you do something all your life, you become better and better at it. It would be like lifting your kid (bench pressing them) from the time they are babies until they are teens. You would be MUCH stonger. Well... he's done this every day of his life. Some practice running more. Some shooting. If he practiced jumping more, of COURSE he's going to jump higher.
ok fine then, steroids do not always change a persons emotional states, what changes it is the amounts of testosterone in their bodies, the more testosterone the easier somebody with have a "fight" reaction in a fight or flight situation. i do agree with you that lebron james is not a steroid user, i actually dont believe many if any basketball players use steroids because it wouldn't give then much of a benefit. they may build more stamina but they dont need to be able to shoot the ball from any further than they do now. bottom line, i dont think basketball is that much of a steroid sport and lebron isnt the type of person that i would think would take steroids.
Shaq is about 330lbs and only gives up a foot of verticle on LeBron

You're reading Does anyone besides me believe that Lebron James is on steroids? He's about 6'9" 260lbs. and jumps unnaturably high. I've never seen anyone that height and weight jump that high.

WWE, they were sued by the WWF like 5 or 10 years ago
by dkruges on March 11th, 2008
Hmm..why don't you research that and find out exactly when they were sued, when McMahon made the change, and then come back here and make a topical comment?
Your comment has nothing to do with LeBron James or the question in hand. The reality is that I don't care about a slight shift in the acronym applied to professional wrestling.
Why are you wasting people's time with that drivel? Shit, go to Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, or some other location and get your facts straight first. I'll give you a quick hint; it won't be ten years' time.
And don't post comments on my answers unless they are related to the topic. Actually, don't do that to anyone else either.

NC jake just dominated that comment lol, here is +5 for some idiot that downrated you.

Just had to get you out of the negs. I can't stand seeing that negative rating when it's undeserved. Your answer seemed reasonable to me.
