Yes it is, it is very rare but it does happen. When i was preg with my son i started bleeding but it was placenta previa (sp?) I was then put on bed rest, so if you are pregnant and bleeding make sure to see your doctor right away to make sure it isn't something serious like this condition can be.

Nop. Unliss she has a problem!!

You have to be aware that a woman's body does what ever it likes during pregnancy - asthma and skin conditions can disappear - hair suddenly grows thicker, curlier etc - I have heard of periods occurring normally (monthly) during the entire pregnancy - maybe you should talk to an expert/midwife about this?

Funny you should mention that, only today ive heard of a woman who lives near me, shes in her late 30's and was experiencing terrible stomach pains at the weekend, her hubby phoned the emergency doc, and while he was on the phone - she gave birth!! nobody had a clue including her, she was pregnant!! so yes it does happen, but i think its fairly uncommon.

One possible solution to this is that they'd have to have two wombs - or else the baby would end up being self aborted. OR the signal sent to tell the body that it is pregnant is very weak? not sure though.

Well a woman will not actually have a so called "period". They will have spotting and blood in that area though but its usually due to the pregnancy. If a women was to have her period during pregnancy it would result in a miscarriage. The spotting is usually do to many different factors and about 50% of them do lead to miscarriage and the rest in turn have a healthy pregnancy.
