Hi there! I'm really confused now what is written application! If some university asks for sending the written application, can that be done through e-mail or is that to be done through post! Any suggestions could be highly appreciable. Thanks!

In the USA, normally through Post as you must sign and pay a fee. The fee is normally around $50.00. They don't want to waste time on a bunch of non serious applications. taht is why they charge a fee. These matters depend upon the individual university. Each has its own process. Go to their website or telephone the admissions Office.
