  • Just like murder is compared to video games. Not really.
  • No, but if you use a fallacious argument it is.
  • He offers a good point, you were being disrespectfull. I am pro pot, but I think it should (and will) all be done legalisticly. Your logic is flawed because it says if a crime is commited frequently enough and costs to much money to control it should be legalized. He pointed out the flaw in your logic, aka it was bad. Pot should be legalized because it is a safe alternative to alcahol, and would be great for the goverments debt if we were to tax it. Not because you think its a victimless crime.
  • Nope. Pot is a victimless crime...
  • both are illegal. if you cant follow simple laws, then you deserve to go to prison. if less people smoked pot, it wouldnt be so cool to smoke it. pot smokers murder plants to smoke them. legalize cannabalism so people can kill people so they can eat them. anyway, its job security for the prison guards and their families. their kids can go to college because a bunch of dope heads are too dumb to not get caught. thats what pot does to you, you lose rational thinking. no wonder you think pot should be legal. why dont you go to amsterdam and get totally fucked up on mushrooms?
  • seven points, your answer was really rude and mal-informed. just because both are illegal doesn't mean they deserve the same punishment. It seems that retributive justice is forgotten in our system (or at least justice should be proportional). I do not think drug use is comparable to murder. I am pro-legalization of marijuana, but not harder drugs. I think our drug laws in GENERAL need SERIOUS reform. People being placed in jail for use of cocaine or meth-amphetamines need serious help not a prison sentence. People who are smoking marijuana generally don't have the same problem as those with harder drugs and don't need a sentence as large as a murder sentence. To compare substance use to crimes like murder is fallacious and downright ignorant. Its comparing apples and oranges, both may be fruit but they are quit different.
